Workout Regimes

Check out the Fitness Guru homepage to see workout regimes for total fitness!

Workout regimes are the most important aspects of improving levels of overall fitness. It is important to establish goals from the beginning in terms of what areas you want to improve. Write down a list of 5 things you would like to change or improve about yourself, and put maximal effort into achieving those goals.

We will discuss a variety of different workout regimes here, aimed at targeting specific elements of fitness. The main areas we will cover are:

  • Increasing muscle mass through weight lifting
  • Increasing strength through weight lifting
  • Improving overall cardiovascular fitness
  • Improving muscle definition through a weight lifting and cardiovascular training
By concentrating on any of these 4 key areas, with maximal effort and commitment, you will see big changes to your body in the areas of fitness they address, hopefully leading to achieving your own personal goals. Be prepared to see results in terms of:

  • Getting stronger
  • Getting muscular
  • Losing weight
  • Getting fitter
  • Feeling better!
But let's get something straight, you aren't going to see dramatic changes over night. Many people begin workout regimes in the hope of getting results straight away, and abandon them when nothing major happens. Your body is a brilliant machine, but realistically, you aren't going to develop into a prime physical specimen in a matter of hours, or days for that matter. Give it 4 weeks minimum.

The most important thing is not to give up. Continue to put maximal effort into achieving your goals. It might not seem like it, but every pressup you do, every bicep curl you manage, is actually bringing you closer to a better you.

The workout regimes you find here will focus on particular aspects of fitness. Pick and chose which ones you follow based on the goals you have set yourself. Don't want to get hugely muscular? then don't focus on the muscle mass workouts. It is all about balancing different aspects to fulfill your personal goals.

It's true about dramatic changes. It all comes with time, so a lot of people fail in motivation here.

Great post!
